Keepwatch Privacy Policy

The short version: your contracts never reach us. Keepwatch has no server and no accounts. Contracts, documents and notes stay on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. The only data that leaves your device is a record of your subscription purchase, handled by our subscription provider under an anonymous ID. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking.

Your contracts and documents

The contracts you add, the documents you attach, the dates and terms you confirm, your decisions and your notice letters are stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for Keepwatch, they are also stored in your own private iCloud account so they sync across your iPhone, iPad and Mac. That storage is provided by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Lincoln Road Apps cannot access it, and we never receive a copy of your contracts.

How documents are read

When you scan or import a contract, Keepwatch reads the text on your device, using Apple's on-device text recognition and, on devices that support it, Apple's on-device intelligence models. The document and the text read from it are not uploaded to us or to any other service.

Camera, photos and files

Keepwatch uses the camera only when you choose to scan a paper contract, and reads only the photos and files you choose to import or share to it. You can change camera access at any time in your device's privacy settings.

Reminders

Reminders are notifications scheduled on your device. They are not sent from a server, and we do not know when or whether you receive them.

Subscriptions and purchase data

Keepwatch Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, payment card or billing address.

To manage subscriptions across your devices, Keepwatch uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID generated by Keepwatch, the record of your App Store purchases of Keepwatch Pro (which plan, when it started, renewals, cancellations and refunds), and basic technical information needed to process the request, such as the app version, device type, operating-system version, country and IP address. RevenueCat does not receive your contracts, documents, name or email address, and we do not link the purchase record to your identity. We use this information only to provide your subscription and to understand subscription totals, such as the number of active subscribers. On the App Store, this appears as “Purchases — Data Not Linked to You.”

What we do not do

Keepwatch has no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs, and no tracking technologies. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.

Sharing letters and exports

When you export or share a notice letter, for example to Word, Pages, Google Docs, email or a printer, the file goes where you send it and is then governed by that service's terms and privacy policy.

Support emails

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and we use it only to answer you. Please don't send copies of confidential contracts.

Children

Keepwatch is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Keeping and deleting data

Your contracts remain on your devices and in your iCloud account until you delete them. Deleting a contract in the app removes it from your devices and from iCloud; you can also remove all Keepwatch data in your device's iCloud storage settings. RevenueCat keeps the anonymous purchase record for as long as it is needed to provide the subscription and meet legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA may give you rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal data. Your contracts are entirely under your control on your devices and in your iCloud account. For the anonymous purchase record, email us; because it is not linked to your identity, we may ask for details, such as a purchase receipt, to find it.

Security

Your data is protected by your device's security and by iCloud. Because we operate no servers that store your contracts, there is no store of your contracts on our side that could be breached.

Changes to this policy

If Keepwatch changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
