Answers to the questions we get most. If yours isn't here, email [email protected]. A real person reads it.
The contract always controls. Keepwatch calculates deadlines from the terms you confirm. If a reminder or date ever looks wrong, check it against the agreement itself, and let us know so we can look into it.
Help
Frequently asked
What is the “decision deadline”?
It is the last day you can act on a contract, usually the last day to give notice that you will not renew. Keepwatch works it out from the terms you confirm: the expiration date minus the notice period. If the contract has no fixed end date but can be ended on notice, Keepwatch shows how much notice it needs and the earliest date it could end if you sent notice today.
How does Keepwatch count business days?
When a contract says notice is due a number of business days before a date, Keepwatch skips Saturdays, Sundays and U.S. federal holidays. If your contract defines business days differently, for example by excluding a state holiday, check the deadline against the contract and adjust the notice period if needed.
Can I trust the dates Keepwatch suggests from a document?
Treat them as suggestions. Keepwatch reads the document on your device and points to the passage each suggestion came from, so you can check it quickly, but automated reading makes mistakes, especially with scanned pages. You confirm every date and term before it is saved, and the contract itself always controls.
I'm not getting reminders.
Reminders are notifications scheduled on your device. Check that notifications are turned on for Keepwatch: on iPhone and iPad in Settings → Notifications → Keepwatch, and on a Mac in System Settings → Notifications → Keepwatch. A Focus mode can also hold them back. Open Keepwatch after changing a setting so it can reschedule. If it could not schedule a reminder, the app shows a notice at the top of the contract list.
My contracts aren't syncing between my iPhone and Mac.
Keepwatch syncs through your own iCloud account. Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account, iCloud is turned on, and Keepwatch is allowed to use iCloud (on iPhone: Settings → your name → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud). Syncing can take a minute or two, and needs an internet connection on both devices.
How do I add a contract from an email or a file?
On iPhone or iPad, open the PDF or image, tap the Share button and choose Keepwatch. It appears in Keepwatch, ready to review. You can also tap Add a contract and scan a paper copy with the camera, import a PDF or choose a photo. On a Mac, drag the file onto the Keepwatch window, or click the + button.
Can Keepwatch send the notice for me?
No. Keepwatch drafts an editable letter with the parties and dates filled in, and shows how the contract says notice must be delivered, for example by certified mail. Review and edit the letter, then send it yourself by the method your contract requires. The letter is sample language, not legal advice.
What counts toward the free limit?
The free plan watches up to three active contracts. Contracts you have archived or marked as terminated do not count. Keepwatch Pro removes the limit.
I subscribed but Pro isn't showing on my other device.
Open Keepwatch, go to Settings and tap Restore purchases. One subscription covers Keepwatch on iPhone, iPad and Mac, as long as each device uses the same Apple Account for App Store purchases.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. In Keepwatch, go to Settings → Manage subscription, or on iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. Your contracts stay in the app if you cancel; you can still see them all, and the free limit applies to adding new ones.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose the purchase. If something in the app went wrong, please tell us too so we can fix it.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a contract in the app and it is removed from your devices and your iCloud account. To remove everything, delete Keepwatch's data from iCloud in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Keepwatch, then delete the app. We hold no copy of your contracts. See the privacy policy for the purchase record kept by our subscription provider.
Is Keepwatch legal advice?
No. Keepwatch is a tracking tool that helps you keep deadlines in view. It does not interpret your contract or tell you what to do. For advice on a specific agreement, consult an attorney.
Still stuck?
[email protected]We usually reply within one to two business days. Please tell us which device you use (iPhone, iPad or Mac), its software version, and what you were doing when the problem happened. A screenshot helps a lot. Please don't send copies of confidential contracts.
